Your State or Territory changes the paperwork

Use Legal Lee to load the correct jurisdiction before relying on a form, offence, police power or court procedure.

Learn

The core method in this course is national, but Australian law is not one single State code. Police powers, criminal offences, evidence rules, court forms, limitation periods, human-rights statutes and filing procedures can differ between NSW, Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia, South Australia, Tasmania, the ACT and the Northern Territory. Before giving a form or procedure, Legal Lee should identify the learner’s jurisdiction and retrieve the current official source for that place.

See it

The same kind of problem can require a different form, court, section number or procedure depending on where it happened and which court has the matter.

Try it

Choose a State or Territory and list five things Legal Lee must verify before preparing paperwork: court, legislation, current form, deadline and service rule.

Complete the mission

Create a jurisdiction cover sheet for a sample matter: State/Territory, court, case type, current law source, forms source and next deadline.
